Profile

Alastair graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003. He worked in the Republic of Ireland in general medicine and Cardiology, obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). Upon return to Sydney, he undertook Cardiology training based at Prince of Wales Hospital and was the Interventional Fellow at Eastern Heart Clinic from 2013-2014. He joined Cardiology Associates in 2015 and has a sub-specialty interest in complex coronary intervention and cardiac complications in pregnancy.  Alastair also has a special interest in Computed Tomography Coronary Angiogram (CTCA) testing, which he co-reports as the Specialist Cardiologist for various medical imaging companies.

Continuing Education/Teaching/Research

Alastair is a regular attendee at international cardiology conferences. He has an interest in teaching medical students and physician trainees as well as presenting to the local general practitioners and trainee Doctors. He has been working on research publications in the fields of radiation dosage and bioabsorbable stent technology.
